Abstract

During the month of June I had the privilege of spending my summer in Pamplona, Spain. Pamplona is located in northern Spain near the border with France and is a fascinating city filled with a lot of history. The program that I went with to Spain was specifically geared towards engineers and I had the opportunity to improve my Spanish(both conversational and engineering related Spanish), learn about engineering issues affecting Spain (specifically the Navarra region), and also learn a lot about Spanish culture. I spent the month in Spain living with a Spanish family in their apartment and going to school at a Spanish language institute in the city. My experience in Spain not only improved my Spanish but gave me a great appreciation for Spanish culture.
